General Description

A copy of Yonge's Musica Transalpina (1594) with the addition of a 4-part piece in manuscript just after Byrd's 'Fair young virgin' (Discantus) or just before it (ATB). Only the Discantus is texted, the text problematically extending beyond the end of the music.
