Both books contain the name of John Sadler, a Norwich Grocer (not a Northamptonshire Parson), who is also linked to Ob Mus. e. 1–5.

Owned in 19th century by George Weare Braikenridge of Brislington, Somerset; later owners include Jerdone Braikenridge (d. 1907) and Alfred M. Hale. Purchased from latter by E. H. Fellowes on behalf of St. Michael's College (Tenbury, Worcester), in 1942; deposited in Bodleian Library in 1979.
