ii + 131 + ii parchment folios, 569 x 387. First folio unnumbered; modern foliation of the rest, 1-130. Blank folios: 21'-22, 63'-64, 83'-84, 131'. Original brown leather covers, partially restored, with blind-tooled lozenge design. Modern index (1821) by Van Hulthem on first folio. Copied by Netherlands court scribe Petrus Alamire (KellJ). Miniatures and borders illuminated in Ghent-Bruges style (the decoration was done ca. 1530 by Master of John III of Portugal —WinkF); painted initials and inked calligraphic initials. Coat of arms and miniatures of John III of Portugal and Catherine of Austria. Contemporary inscription on cover: "Liber missarum Pétri de la Rue."
