A Bassus partbook from a set of four volumes. Copied mostly by Netherlands court scribe Petrus Alamire (KellJ); Warmington also identifies text/music scribe F and text scribe Y. Last piece is later addition by different scribe (not from the Alamire scriptorium), who also copied 6 pieces in Vienna 18810 and much of the manuscript portion of Munich Art.401 (RifMichel). Copied in Brussels/Mechlin; belongs to Netherlands court complex (KellJ). Compiled for Anne, Queen of Hungary and Bohemia, and her husband King Ferdinand (1503-64; Emperor Ferdinand I after 1556)(KellJ). Perhaps owned later by Ulrich Fugger (1526-84), of Augsburg, and incorporated in Palatine electoral library in Heidelberg after Ulrich's death. Au livre du Sup. les ff. 2, 5, 20v à 22, 41 à 44, 74v, 75, 113v, 114 sont blancs. Notation mesurée blanche. 4 portées par p. Au 1er f. de chaque vol. «Registrum dive regine Hungarie.» avec les armes de l'empire hongrois. A toutes les tables, mq. les motets nos 30, 34 et 38. Capitales ornées.
Ms. franco-flamand copié par Alamire pour Ferdinand et Anne de Hongrie à laquelle le ms. est dédié (Keilman), et non pas à Marie de Hongrie comme on l'avait cru jusqu'à présent (Rubsamen). Le nom des deux souverains apparaît en effet fréquemment dans certains motets dont le texte a été adapté spécialement (nos 3, 7, 17, 24, 34). La copie a dû s'effectuer entre 1528, date du couronnement de Ferdinand et Anne, et 1534, date où Alamire disparaît des listes de paiement, mais plus précisément entre 1528 et 1531, le motet no 10 qui se réfère à Marguerite d'Autriche (à la fin: «Gaude sacra Margarita.») n'ayant vraisemblablement pu être ainsi transformé que peu avant ou peu après la mort de la Régente.
