Copied by Netherlands court scribe Petrus Alamire (KellJ); WarmMC distinguishes two other music scripts: scribe D and D var (ff. 1'-4, 45'-65, 66'-84, 85'-104, 105'-124, 125'-130), the latter also adding some text; and scribe X (text on ff. 6'-25, 26'-44). Copied in Brussels/Mechlin; belongs to Netherlands court complex (KellJ). See the entry for JenaU 2 for information about the later history of this manuscript.

Original covers of dark brown leather over boards, partially restored, with blind-tooled lozenge design, metal corners, buckle and clasps. No index. Copied by Netherlands court scribe Petrus Alamire (KellJ). Miniatures and borders illuminated in Ghent-Bruges style; painted initials and inked calligraphic initials.
