General Description

Copied by Netherlands court scribe Petrus Alamire (KellJ); Warmington however distinguishes the music scribe C with text by C3; some music possibly by X1, texted by C (KellmanTO). Copied in Brussels/Mechlin; belongs to Netherlands court complex (KellJ). Probably prepared for Charles, Archduke of Austria. Once in Schloss Ambras near Innsbruck. Transferred to Kunsthistorisches Staatsmuseum in Vienna in 1806; passed to Nationalbibliothek in 1936.

Copied by Netherlands court scribe Petrus Alamire (KellJ); see general index for other manuscripts copied by the same scribe. Staff height 23.
