General Description

Main hand is that of Netherlands court scribe Petrus Alamire (KellJ); copied by one scribe with additions and corrections by a second (KellmanTO) - Warmington distinguishes as music copyists scribe H2 and scribe I, and possibly scribe F; and text scribe Z. Copied in Brussels/Mechlin; belongs to Netherlands court complex (KellJ). Sent to Munich for presentation to Wilhelm IV, Duke of Bavaria (1493-1550); placed in ducal court library, whose holdings formed foundation of present Bayerische Staatsbibliothek.

Ff. 1-3, 11'-12, 36'-37, 57'-58, 72, 82'-83, 94, 105'-106, 122'-123, and 143'-144' blank except for piece numbers and modern inscriptions.
