A Tenor partbook from a set originally of five volumes (much of repertory concordant with LonBLE 2010, but that volume does not belong to present set although it provides the missing Altus for many pieces). Music copied by a single scribe, employed by Edward Paston (1550-1630) of Norfolk, a country gentleman and collector of music. Owned in 1669 by Stephen Aldhouse, of Matlask, Norfolk, a witness to Paston's will. Purchased by British Museum at a Puttick's sale in 1866.
