General Description

MS contains Bede’s Life of St Cuthbert and other Lives of Cuthbert, Oswald and Aidan; Offices and Masses for Cuthbert and Oswald (with musical notation); extracts from Simeon of Durham’s History of the Church of Durham; lists of Durham’s relics and bishops. Copied by several scribes in different sections; there are also later additions. There is one monophonic song on f. 59.
