General Description

A Discantus partbook from a set of four volumes. Copied by a single scribe. Probably copied in Lyons (Call). Once owned by member of Fugger family (NowakM). Fugger library purchased by Emperor Ferdinand III and brought to Vienna in 1656.

II-IV of each book groups pieces alphabetically by first letter of text. Copied by a single scribe. Staff height 14. Black inked initials. Edges of folios gilded and gauffered. Watermark on back flyleaf of D book: initials "IR" (not in Briquet); all other folios lack watermarks.
