General Description

Originally part of same manuscript as PadU 675, 1106, and 1225 (FischN); later used as flyleaf or cover leaf for book Grammatica Latina di Stefano Flischius, but now preserved separately. Copied by Frater Rolandus Monachus (scribal concordance with PadU 1106 and 1225, signed by Rolandus). Copied at St. Giustina Benedictine Abbey in Padua. Removed from original context and used as flyleaf or cover leaf during early 15th century. Subsequent history same as for PadU 675.

Single folio. 8 red 5-line staves and part of 9th stave on each page. Filed under 'Frammenti musicali'.

RISM B/IV 4: 15. Jh.; 1 Blatt Pergament, 208 x 142 mm (sehr stark beschnitten). Ohne Foliierung. Je Seite noch 8 rote Fünfliniensysteme und Reste des 9. Systems sichtbar, mit schwarzer Mensuralnotation - Heute sind sie losgelöst und werden unter Frammenti musicali aufbewahrt.

Das vermutlich im frühen 15. Jh. geschriebene Blatt diente als Deck- beziehungsweise Vorsatzblatt der aus S. Giustina (Padua) stammenden Handschrift des 15. Jh. Grammatica latina di Stefano Flischius (altes Inventar Nr. 508). Das Blatt weist das doppelte Format der genannten Handschrift auf. Es enthielt unbeschnitten vermutlich 10 Fünfliniensysteme Schrift und Art der Handschrift lassen es als möglich erscheinen, daß dieses Blatt mit Fragment I-Pu675 zur gleichen Handschrift wie I-Pu1106 und I-Pu1225 gehörte.

1 parchment folio, 208 x 142 (trimmed from larger original size). Originally part of same manuscript as PadU 675, 1106, and 1225 (FischN); later used as flyleaf or cover leaf for book Grammatica Latina di Stefano Flischius, but now preserved separately. No foliation remains. Black mensural notation on red staves. Copied by Frater Rolandus Monachus (scribal concordance with PadU 1106 and 1225, signed by Rolandus); see general index for other manuscripts copied by the same scribe.

Early 15th century (RISM). Copied at St. Giustina Benedictine Abbey in Padua. Removed from original context and used as flyleaf or cover leaf during early 15th century. Subsequent history same as for PadU 675.
