A Tenor partbook from a set originally of four volumes. Copied by a single scribe. Copied in Rome. Probably compiled for Giulio de' Medici (1478-1534; Pope Clement VII after 1523). Acquired, perhaps c. 1553-63, by Ulrich Fugger (1526-84), of Augsburg (possibly through Ulrich's book collector, Henricus Scrimger); later incorporated in Palatine electoral library in Heidelberg. See VatP 1347 for subsequent history of electoral library.

RISM Description

XVIe s. 2 vol. T.: III-87ff., B.: III-95ff. Papier, 220 x 150 mm. Foliotation moderne. Les ff. I à IIv, IIIv, 52v à 62v, 75v à 87 sont blancs. Notation mesurée blanche. 4 portées par p. Au f. III, Tabula.
