General Description

Main body of manuscript contains two treatises by Jacobi de Fladnitz: 'Expositio Hymnorum' (ff. 1-107) and 'Expositio Psalmorum' (ff. 110-376); only parchment flyleaves contain polyphony. These flyleaves - top & bottom of two contiguous sheets - are the remnants from larger musical manuscript; other fragments from same manuscript - or the same workshop (CuthbertNMfrags) - are now NurS 9 and NurS 9a (StroMB). See also the reconstruction of the fragments. This original manuscript was probably copied at the Benedictine monastery at Melk, and used as flyleaves in binding of Fladnitz treatises c. 1466. Alternatively (StroMB), perhaps copied in Vienna; used at Church of St. Stephen.
