General Description

Copied by one main scribe, who also wrote GothaF A98, most of BerlPS 40013, and portions of BerlPS 40043; Kyrie on ff. 97'-98 is later addition by a different hand. Manuscript related to BerlPS 40013, BerlPS 40043, GothaF A98, and NurGN 83795 (Tenor/Bassus) (see GerhW for discussion). Copied in Torgau, perhaps for use at Wittenberg Schlosskirche (GerhW). Taken from Wittenberg to Weimar by Johann Friedrich I, deposed Elector of Saxony, in 1548. Transferred to Jena c. 1923, but subsequently returned to Weimar.
