A single Tenor partbook. Copied mostly by Alexander Shaw, who also wrote most of DurC C19 and made additions in DurC C11, DurC C12, DurC C13, and Contratenor II Decani book of DurC C2; slightly later additions by John White, who also wrote DurC C17 and portions of DurC C2, DurC C4, DurC C11, DurC C12, DurC C13, DurC C15, DurC C19, and LonBL 30478 (Brian Crosby). Many concordances with LonBL 30478; both books have many concordances with YorkM 29, which may have been their source (LehurT). Copied in Durham, for use of the cathedral choir; apparently commissioned by Isaac Bashire, a cathedral prebendary. Purchased by British Museum at a Sotheby's sale in 1877.
