Part I = front original flyleaves + first 150 folios of main corpus; Part II = last 92 folios + back original flyleaves. Copying of Part II began at back of book, working toward middle; music of Part II upside down in relation to that of Part I. Original ink and new pencil pagination—Part I: ( 1 )-( 18) + 1-189; 200-304, beginning on first original flyleaf ("190-199" omitted); Part II: (1)-(14) + 1-174. Rebound in modern covers of leather over boards; portions of original dark brown leather covers, gold stamped with "TENOR-DE-F-S," incorporated in modern binding. Original index on pp. (9)-(10) of Part I lists Services under "Mattens," "High," and "Evensonge" categories; under each heading, pieces listed in order of appearance. Modern index on loose sheets at front and back.

Staff height 13-14. Some inked calligraphic initials. Edges of folios gauffered, gilded, and decorated with red and green; index headings in red paint and blue/green ink.
