General Description

Copied by eight scribes, including Oswald Holer (DelbonoW); one of the unidentified scribes also wrote portions of InnsU s.s. Polyphony on ff. 13'-22, 23'-24, 25, 30-30', 32-33, 34'-36, 39-40, 45, 46, 47', 52', 53'-54, and 56-56'. Probably copied at Neustift Augustinian monastery near Bressanone (= Brixen); perhaps commissioned by Oswald von Wolkenstein (see TimmU for discussion of Oswald's possible role in compilation). Owned in 1445 by Albrecht VI, Duke of Austria; possibly owned several years later by Pankraz von Auersperg (DelbonoW, based on interpretation of several inscriptions in manuscript). Entered Vienna city library at unknown date; passed to present library by 1779.
