General Description

Composite of five unrelated manuscripts bound together in 17th century; only first (31 parchment folios; = new ff. 3-33) contains music. Copied by two main scribes and 8-10 additional scribes. Six concordances with LonBLE 3307. Probably copied at Worcester Abbey (GreC); perhaps copied for St. Mary Newarke College in Leicester (HarrnMMB). Owned by John Alcock, Bishop of Worcester 1476-86. Later acquired by John Seiden (1584-1654); passed to Bodleian Library in 1659.
