Polyphony on new ff. 26'-27, 59-60, 77'-84, 99-106', 107'-108, 111'-112, 114'-119. Copied by several scribes. Copied in Prague? Julien Taurand had found that the fragment of mensural notation in the top line of CZ-Pu XI.E.9, fol. 248v is in fact the cantus line of the entire A-part (with the ouvert ending) of the ballade “Sans joie avoir”, for which the only other concordances are to be found in Codex Chantilly (fol. 23) and Pit (P-Bn f.it. 568, fol. 27v-28). Belonged c. 1546 to the humanist Joh. Rodericus a Choterina (d. 1581); presumably entered university library in Prague at end of 16th century.
Modern leather covers, restored in 1958.
black full and black void mensural
red or black staves
Modern foliation, 1-340 (excludes blank folios)
Inked initials in Gothic and calligraphic styles.
paper with parchment endleaves
Julien Taurand had found that the fragment of mensural notation in the top line of CZ-Pu XI.E.9, fol. 248v is in fact the cantus line of the entire A-part (with the ouvert ending) of the ballade “Sans joie avoir”, for which the only other concordances are to be found in Codex Chantilly (fol. 23) and Pit (P-Bn f.it. 568, fol. 27v-28). [see http://mlewon.wordpress.com/2013/07/05/marcs-milk-carton-a-new-source-for-sans-joie-avoir/] The next line of untexted notation below this fragment on fol. 248v, which is listed as is the cantus of the following "Je languis" copied out once more.
RISM B/IV 3: 14./15.

vii parchment + 365 paper + i parchment folios, 213 x 148. Composite of several originally separate manuscripts bound together in early 15th century. Modern foliation, 1-340 (excludes blank folios). Original covers of leather over wooden boards; clasps now missing.

Copied by three scribes, with later addition by fourth scribe on f. 261. Small inked initials. All pieces textless, or have text incipits only. Répertoriai connections with StrasBM 222.
