A grammatical treatise with 2 musical flyleaves at the beginning and the 5 at the end ,probably from a modestly-sized manuscript. These contain 14 pieces: the majority are three-part works, but 4 are in only two parts. There are 3 isorhythmic motets, a Gloria, Credo and troped Kyrie, as well as a hymn and 6 other pieces with Latin texts in note-against-note discant style. Most of the pieces are written in neat 14th century hands, but the hand of nos. 11 and 12 (and no. 13 is similar) is rough: it is reminiscent of Paris, Bibl. Nat., fonds latin, 11266, although rectangular notes and minims are conspicuously absent. Besseler discerns 5 different hands here. This MS belonged successively to Dom. John Palmer, John Gigur (magister in collegio de Tateshale) and Dom William Stokes.

The ms corpus is a grammatical treatise dated 1420, while the 2 musical flyleaves at the beginning and the 5 at the end seem to come from a modestly-sized manuscript dating from the second half of the 14th century. Variety of form and notation is, however, a feature of the 14 pieces. The majority are three-part works, but 4 are in only two parts. The number of staves varies from 9 to 11 per page, and their colour may be red or brown. Although they are generally five-line, four-line staves appear too.
