General Description

A Sarum Processional with polyphony on ff. 65-70. The chant to the even-numbered verses of the psalms 'Laudate pueri' and 'In exitu Israel' has been erased, and replaced with an alternative voice part in white mensural notation (probably intended as lowest voice of three-part setting in fauxbourdon). Psalms apparently intended for alternatim performance, with odd-numbered verses in chant, even-numbered verses in polyphony. Copied in England. Owned in 18th century by Robert Harley, 1st Earl of Oxford (1661-1724). Subsequent history same as for LonBLH 1512.
