General Description

Polyphonic 'Salve festa dies' on ff. 121-121' (flyleaf). Music was at one time present on f. 119' also, but subsequently erased). The MS also contains two carol texts without music. Of English origin; apparently copied at St. Neots, Huntingdonshire (HugheCM). Inscription on f. 2 indicates manuscript purchased from Sir Henry Wynchester by Thomas of Woodstock (1355-97), youngest son of King Edward III. Owned in early 16th century by Thomas Brudenell, of Deene, Northamptonshire. Acquired in 18th century by Robert Harley, 1st Earl of Oxford (1661-1724). Subsequent history same as for LonBLH 1512.

Diese Handschrift ist ein Sarum Prozessionar. Auf f. 121r/v stehen 2 Stimmen eines Salve festa dies: f. 121r 2 Fünfliniensysteme, f. 121v 3 Fünfliniensystem mit schwarzer Mensuralnotation des frühen 15. Jh.
