RISM Description

RISM B/IV 5: II s'agit de 2 fragments d'un même ms. italien, d'une même main pour les pièces religieuses, ayant servi de couverture pour des documents d'archives et, de ce fait, assez détériorés. Les concordances avec le ms. de Bologna Q 15 (nos 3, 4, 8), ainsi que la notation et le répertoire, placent le ms. dans la 1ère moitié du XVe s., entre ca. 1430-35 et 1450, les pièces profanes ayant été ajoutées d'une autre main, mais peu après pour le ms. 326.

XVe s., 2ff. Parchemin, 290 x 213 mm. (rognés à la partie supérieure). Pas de foliotation. Notation mesurée noire et rouge. A l'origine, 9 portées rouges par p., dont mq. maintenant la portée supérieure. Restes de capitales ornées, or et couleurs.

2 parchment folios (= 1 bifolio), 290 x 212, and 1 parchment folio, ca. 274 x 202 (upper right corner cut off diagonally). Apparently the only surviving remnants of a single musical manuscript. One side of bifolio badly faded, but most music still legible. No foliation visible. Black mensural notation with red full and red void coloration. Copied by one main scribe and one additional scribe. Staff height 13.5. One painted initial (partly trimmed away): gold on blue and gold ground, with red and purple infill; two red inked initials.
