Corpus of legal tracts, 141 folios in total, plus 6 preliminary leaves and 1 modern flyleaf at each end. Modern foliation throughout. Remnants of original foliation from parchment preliminary leaves, f.41-50. Modern leather binding over wooden boards. Music on 3 preliminary parchment bifolios. 10 red 5-line staves per page.

RISM B/IV 4: 14./15. Jh.; 141 Blätter Pergament + 6 Pergament Vorsatzblätter+ je 1 moderne Vorsatz- und Nachstoßblätter, 277 x 245 mm (Format des Vorsatzblätter siehe unten). Moderne Foliierung von f. 1-141; Foliierung der Pergament-Vorsatzblätter: originale Foliierung (nur zum Teil erkennbar) von f. 41-50 (es fehlen originale f. 42, 45, 46, 49); moderne Foliierung und Pag. von f. 1-6, p. I-XII. - Einband: mit modernem Leder überzogene Holzdeckel.

Diese aus S. Giustina (Padua) stammende Handschrift des 15. Jh. enthält unter anderem juristischen Traktaten die Summa decretalibus des Magister Goffredus (altes Inventar Nr. 174). Musik findet sich nur auf den 3 Pergament-Vorsatz-Doppelblätter, die teilweise bis auf 247 x 133 mm beschnitten sind. Diese ursprünglich als Deckblätter benutzten Blätter stammen aus derselben, im ausgehenden 14. Jh. oder um 1400 geschriebenen Handschrift wie GB-Ob229 und I-Pu684. Ihr ursprünliches Format war ca. 320 x 245 mm. Das Fragment muß unmittelbar vor I-Pu684 gestanden haben (vergleiche I-Pu1475, Nr. 16 und I-Pu684, Nr. 1). Die richtige Blattfolge der heute falsch gebundenen Blätter wurde erstmals von Besseler festgestellt. Je Seite stehen 10 rote Fünfliniensysteme mit schwarzer Mensuralnotation

Modern foliation, 1-141, in main body of manuscript. Polyphony found only on parchment flyleaves, which were once part of same manuscript as OxfBC 229 and PadU 684. Parchment flyleaves have three numbering systems: (1) original foliation, 41, 43-44, 47-48, 50; (2) modern foliation, 1-6; (3) modern pagination, I-XII. Original covers of wooden boards, now overlaid with modern leather: Black mensural notation on red staves.

Late 14th or early 15th century (ClercxJC). Copied at St. Giustina Benedictine Abbey in Padua. Folios with music removed from original context and used as flyleaves during first half of 15th century. Subsequent history same as for PadU 675.
