The contents of the MS are the treatise of Lambertus, f. 1-35, and 7 three-part motets, f. 35v-41v. The codex is written throughout in 2 columns, so that in the motets the Tr is at the left, Mot at the right and the T written across the bottom line of each page.

At the top of f. 41 is the name Gobertus de fonte, but it is a later addition.

RISM B/IV 1: A late 13th century parchment manuscript meas. 149 x 103 mm. and containing 41 folios plus 2 unnumbered paper flyleaves at each end, which belong to the 17th century binding of brown leather over pulp boards. There is some gilt tooling on the spine with the title Liber de musica et plano cantu on a red and Ms du XIVe siecle on a green background. The foliation is in fairly modern ink at t.r.r. An error of two pages after f. 13 has been corrected everywhere. The script is semi-Gothic with red and blue initials (the filigree is in the contrasting colour).
