General Description

Probably removed from binding of unidentified book in this library (see WrighCT for discussion of several incunabula possibly associated with present fragments). All folios are remnants from same original manuscript. Copied by Johannes Lupi, a musician and priest active in and around Trent between 1447 and his death in 1467 (WrighCT); Lupi was also the main scribe of Part I of TrentC 87 and Part II of TrentC 92. Possibly copied in Basel-Strasbourg region (WrighCT); copied in northern Italy, possibly in vicinity of Milan or Ravenna (FischN).

5 paper folios [= 2 bifolios + 1 single folio], 390 x 290, probably removed from binding of unidentified book in this library (see WrighCT for discussion of several incunabula possibly associated with present fragments). All folios are remnants from same original manuscript. Folios trimmed and cut in half for use in binding, but most music still legible. Remnants of original foliation, 54, 76-77, 80-81, visible on upper center rectos. Copied by Johannes Lupi, a musician and priest active in and around Trent between 1447 and his death in 1467 (WrighCT); Lupi was also the main scribe of Part I of TrentC 87 and Part II of TrentC 92. Inked calligraphic initials. Watermark resembles Briquet #11849-50 (FischN).
