General Description

According to Ludwig, this MS is a Gradual of the Kollegiatstift Moosburg a.d. Isar, but the Bohemian traits of the notation make whether the manuscript originated in Moosburg doubtful. Contains modern movements of the ordinary f. 1-40 (troped); f. Graduale 41-230v, f. 230v-241r Alleluia; f. 241ff. Sequences. Oolyphonic pieces are in score.

RISM Description

RISM B/IV 3: 15.

Inhalt: moderne f. 1-40 Ordinariumssätze (tropiert); f. 41-230v Graduale; f. 230v-241r Alleluia; f. 241ff. Sequenzen.

[Translation] 308 parchment sheets, 192 x 130 mm. Modern foliation of f. 1-308; original foliation of f. 1-202 (= modern foliation 41-241). 8 red four-line systems with Bohemian chant and isolated black mensural notation (f. 1v, 35v-40); polyphonic pieces in score notation - Cover: 15th Century, with white leather covered wooden boards, fittings and clasp are missing.

This manuscript is, according to Ludwig, one from the Graduale of the Kollegiatstift Moosburg a.d. Isar originating from the early 15th century. The notation shows Bohemian traits (such as Pes: two rhombuses connected with a slash). It is therefore questionable whether the manuscript originated in Moosburg.

Content: Modern movements of the ordinary f. 1-40 (troped); f. Graduale 41-230v, f. 230v-241r Alleluia; f. 241ff. Sequences.
