General Description

Music on back flyleaves (= new ff. 150-153), apparently the only surviving remnants of a 15th-century choirbook; all four folios originally part of same bifolio. Latter piece in score format; other pieces in choirbook format. Copied by six or seven scribes. The lower voice of the Sanctus is concordant with the contratenor part of the sanctus Jacet granum attributed to Benet in Trent 93, fols. 321r-322r (Peter Wright). Probably copied in Winchester. Inscriptions indicate later ownership by Thomas Dackomb (1496-ca. 1572), petty canon of Winchester Cathedral, and by John Courteney. Incorporated in library of University College, Oxford, by 1694; now deposited in Bodleian Library.
