General Description

An early printed book containing the Scrutinium scripturarum by Paulus de Sancta Maria, bishop of Burgos, printed by Johann Mentelin at Strasbourg c. 1470. The music consists of 2 flyleaves at each end of the book containing Notre Dame conductus for two voices. The double leaves of parchment are two-thirds less wide than the book, but of typical Notre Dame size .
