One German piece has full text underlaid; two French pieces without text in this source; other pieces have text incipits or titles only, some highly corrupt. Most repertory apparently copied from printed sources, including RISM 1504/3, 1512/3, [c. 1528]/6, [c. 1528]/7, and 1538/9; other possible sources discussed in WhisM, 11-68. Probably copied in Augsburg. In Bavarian ducal court library at Munich by 1618 (dated bookplate); latter library's holdings formed foundation of present Bayerische Staatsbibliothek.
