General Description

Copied by a single scribe, in England. Leaf removed from original context c. 1510; used as wrapper for rental of a manor within parish of Wye, Kent. Rental document later came to King's Remembrancer's Department of the Exchequer in London; subsequently transferred to Public Record Office. Leaf with music discovered in 1970 by Roger Bowers; now preserved separately.

1 fragmentary parchment folio, ca. 680 x 460, now mounted on modern parchment folio. In poor condition; center of folio missing. Black mensural notation with red coloration; score format. Copied by a single scribe. Staff height 17-21. Elaborately illuminated initials and floral borders in gold, blue, green, and faded red, with filigree work.

Ca. 1455 (Roger Bowers). Copied in England. Leaf removed from original context ca. 1510; used as wrapper for rental of a manor within parish of Wye, Kent.
