General Description

A Tenor partbook from a set of four volumes. Copied by several scribes, including Stephan Roth (VollBM). Copied in Zwickau. Owned by Stephan Roth (1492-1546), rector of Latin school at Zwickau 1517-20, city scribe of Zwickau 1526-46. Bequeathed by Roth to Zwickau Ratsschulbibliothek in 1546.

Modern pencil numbering of pieces in AT books, 1-28 (some individual sections of various pieces counted as separate items). Blank folios, or blank staves only—D: 1, 2-2', 7-12, 13'-19, 34-35'; A: 1, 2-2', 7-12, 13'-19'; T: 1, 2-2', 7-12, 13'-19', 34'-108'; B: 1, 2-2', 7-12, 13'-19', 34-35'.
