General Description

A Bassus partbook from a set of five volumes. Each book consists of print RISM W168, with manuscript additions on front and back flyleaves of DATB books. Copied by two scribes. Copied in Augsburg? Probably owned by Raimund Fugger the Elder (1489-1535), of Augsburg (shield in Tenor book probably intended to depict Fugger family coat of arms; inscription on title page of Tenor book, possibly added by Raimund: 'im 1527 kauft ich dise buchlin um 40 czener vom Harder bei unser Frawen.')
