An Altus partbook from a set of four volumes. First 18 pieces copied by Jacob Zyr (KmetzH); remaining pieces copied by Jann Wiest (= Jann Obseus), named on f. 38 of Tenor book. Copied in Basel. Probably compiled for the Basel lawyer and humanist Bonifacius Amerbach (1495-1562). Later passed to Bonifacius' son Basilius (1533-91); acquired by present library from Amerbach estate c. 1661.
