A Bassus partbook from a set originally of five volumes. Copied by Matthias Krüger. On the inside front cover is the library plate of Duke Albert of Prussia. The Ducal library was later incorporated into Staatsbibliothek in Königsberg.

The set has been missing since World War II except for Bassus book, which was apparently separated from the others before returning to the Staatliches Archivlager in Göttingen, where it was assigned the call number 'MS 7.' It was subsequently transferred to the Geheimes Staatsarchiv Preussischer Kulturbesitz in West Berlin. The other books may be lost, existing only in microfilmed copies.

Main watermark (shield with double cross surmounted by crown = coat of arms of city of Danzig) resembles Briquet #1250ff and #5775-6; other watermarks include a crown (resembles Briquet #5006-7), an ox head with staff and serpent (= Briquet #15457), and an ox head with staff and cross.

Ducal library later incorporated into Staatsbibliothek in Königsberg.
