General Description

A Discantus partbook from a set originally of six volumes. Copied by one main scribe (#I-XLV); the last seven pieces copied by a second scribe, slightly later (at the beginning of the 17th century). Of central German origin; possibly copied in Wittenberg or Zwickau.
