General Description

Composite of several originally separate fascicles later bound together. Possibly copied by Erasmus Zollner, cantor at Gymnasium Poeticum in Regensburg during 1570's. Copied in Regensburg, probably for use by choir of Gymnasium Poeticum in local evangelical services.

No index.

Monophonic music and some polyphonic pieces copied in chant notation, including some Hufnagel notation; remaining contents in white mensural notation. Possibly copied by Erasmus Zollner, cantor at Gymnasium Poeticum in Regensburg during 1570's; see general index for other manuscripts copied by the same scribe. Painted red initials on new ff. 49'-50; other initials inked, most in Gothic style, a few in plain block or calligraphic style.
