General Description

This manuscript, with mass and office music, was written by at least 6 hands of the 14th and partly also of the 15th Century. It once belonged to a monastery in Vienna. Contents: f. 1-16 Lamentation and Oratio Jeremiae f. 16v-22 Liber generationis Gospel lessons among other things, f. 22-70v polyphonic music (see incipits) interspersed with monophonic hymns, Alleluia, antiphons, responsories f. 71-76 sequences; f. 76v-82 Kyriale f. 82v hymn; on the cover of the manuscript are two German lieder.

14/15. Jh.; 82 Blätter Pergament 135 x 100 mm. Foliierung von f. 1-82. Je Seite bis zu 8 Vier- oder Fünfliniensystemen mit Quadratnotation (zum Teil mit mensuralen Elementen). -Einband: 15. Jh.; Pergament-Blatt mit Klappe, Lederbänder.

Diese Handschrift, die sowohl Messe- wie auch Offiziumsgesänge enthält, zeigt Einträge von mindestens 6 Händen des 14. und teilweise auch des 15. Jahrhunderts. Sie gehörte einst dem Minoritenkloster in Wien.

Inhalt: f. 1-16 Lamentationen und Oratio Jeremiae; f. 16v-22 Liber generationis unter anderem Evangelienlektionen; f. 22-70v siehe Incipitverzeichnis; dazwischen einstimmige Hymnen, Alleluia, Antiphonen, Responsorien; f. 71-76 Sequenzen; f. 76v-82 Kyriale; f. 82v Hymnus; auf dem Dekkel der Handschrift zwei deutsche Lieder.
