A Bassus partbook from a set originally of four volumes, each consisting of the print RISM 1538/2 plus manuscript additions before and after it. (MS additions in D 86 fols. following print, in B 7 fols. preceding and 74 fols. following print). Copied mostly by Joannes Soldeke, of Barth, a minister (inscription inside front cover of Bassus book), Barth, who purchased printed partbooks in 1539; later additions by several other scribes. Following Soldeke's death (1588), his widow gave partbooks to Michael Froboese, of Wolgast. Froboese donated manuscript to city library in Wolgast, whose holdings later were incorporated in the Universitätsbibliothek in nearby Greifswald.

The prints were purchased in 1539 by Joannes Soldeke, who copied the manuscript additions between 1539 and 1588. After Soldeke's death in 1588, his widow gave the manuscript to Michael Froboese, who in turn donated it to the library of his home town, Wolgast (16 miles from Greifswald).
