A Discantus partbook from a set originally of four volumes, appended to a copy of RISM 1535/11 (the enumeration of folios here includes those in the print). #1-16 copied by Christoph Piperinus, who also wrote portions of BasU F.IX.32-5 and BasU F.X.5-9; #17-48 probably copied by Basilius Amerbach, who also wrote portions of BasU F. IX.32-5 and manuscript additions in BasU kk. IV.23-7 (KmetzH). Copied in Basel. Compiled by, and under direction of Christoph Piperinus (d. 1565), music teacher of Basilius Amerbach (1533-91), son of the Basel lawyer and humanist Bonifacius Amerbach. Acquired by present library from Amerbach estate c. 1661.
