General Description

Incunabulum Davidica Corona seu Expositio Psalmorum by Hugo de S. Charo (Venice 1496), bound in a bifolium showing music. The two leaves of this bifolium, of which only the outer sides are visible, bear three lessons; these are only fragmentarily preserved.

RISM B/IV 4: 15. Jh.; 390 p. Papier, 300 x 200 mm. - Einband: mit Noten beschriebener Pergamentüberzug, 310 x 210 mm.

Das hier allein interessierende Pergament-Doppelblätter umfaßt den Einband der Inkunabel Corona Davidica seu Expositio Psalmorum von Hugo de S. Charo, Venedig 1496. Die ebenfalls aus dem 15. Jh. stammenden 2 Blättern, von denen nur die Außenseiten sichtbar sind, zeigen je Seite 8 Vierliniensysteme mit gotischer Choralnotation des 15. Jh. Alle drei Lektionen sind nur fragmentarisch erhalten.

Of sole interest here is the parchment bifolium binding of this incunabulum Davidica Corona seu Expositio Psalmorum by Hugo de S. Charo (Venice 1496) Also originating in the 15th Century, the two leaves, of which only the outer sides are visible, show 8 four-line systems per page with gothic chant notation of the 15th century. All three lessons are only fragmentarily preserved.
