XVIe s. 33ff. + 1f. limin. Papier. 205 x 275 mm. Foliotation ancienne en haut des ff. Le v. du f. limin., les ff. 31 à 33v sont blancs. Notation mesurée blanche. 6 portées par p. Sesta parte seul'.
La mention «Sesta parte» au haut du f. limin. indique qu'il s'agit d'un vol. séparé de pièces à 6 v. dont les 5 autres vol. mq. On y distingue nettement 2 mains, la 1ère (jusqu'au f. 10) d'une belle écriture italienne, beaucoup plus cursive dans la 2e partie. Ms. d'origine florentine (Provenienza Medicea Palatina) que 11 concordances avec I-Rv 35-40 situent entre 1523 et 1530, date que précisent le motet no 7, en l'honneur de la famille Médicis et de ses saints officiels S. Cosme et S. Damien, écrit pour célébrer l'élection du pape Clément VII (Giulio de' Medici) en 1523, et le no 21 composé à l'occasion de la paix rétablie entre le pontife et Charles Quint en 1529.
