82 Mass Proper sections (arranged in cycles by feast), 8 settings of the Gloria patri for the Introit, 1 Latin/German sacred piece = 91
(Obrecht)-1, anon-90 (GerkPC suggests, on stylistic grounds, that many of the pieces may be by Rener).
203 paper folios, 440 x 290. No foliation; trimming has removed some parts of initials, titles, and perhaps foliation. Original covers of gray-brown tooled leather over boards. Original(?) index on inside back cover. Copied by a single scribe (who also appears in JenaU 31, 32, 33, and WeimB A) except for the piece by Obrecht (ff. 202'-203), which is in a different hand. Miniature on f. 1'; calligraphic initials in black or black/red. Inscription on front cover: "De Sancto Andrea Introitus."
1500-20 (MGG). Copied for the All Saints Church in Wittenberg (GerkPC). JenaU 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 form a complex of related sources. They all originated in Saxony, in contrast to the group made up of JenaU 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 12, 20, 21, and 22, which originated at the Netherlands court in Brussels/Mechlin. However, the later history of both groups is the same: in 1547 they were taken to Weimar, the place of retirement of the deposed Elector of Saxony, Johann Friedrich I, as part of the latter's court library. The following year, the collection was transferred to Jena to become the foundation of the library of the Hochschule (later Jena University) founded by Johann Friedrich.
