De tous in buse (= T'meiskin was jonck)

Attribution Note

Petrucci Odhecaton A (1501) attributed the song to "Isac" but later (1503, 1504) editions removed that attribution. The 3vv contrafact setting in FlorBN Magl.178 (ff. 75v-76) is attributed to Japart. NOE editors comment "Whether Japart is an acceptable candidate for the authorship remains doubtful, as Tmeiskin was jonck would be his only Flemish song. The Segovia manuscript might bear the most authority in naming Obrecht as the composer of the song. As Obrecht's authorship cannot be excluded on the basis of stylistic arguments, Tmeiskin was jonck has been included in the New Obrecht Edition as a composition that may be by Obrecht."
