General Description

A single folio now preserved as f. 47 in modern guard book of 59 paper folios. Copied by a single scribe. Presumably copied in France. Note also that f. 48v has blank 5-line staves drawn on it and f. 51r includes traces of offset void mensural musical notation and text.

Miscellaneous collection of fragments removed from bindings, with polyphony: 4 French secular pieces (1 with D only)

1 parchment folio, 204 x 140, now preserved as f. 47 in modern guard book of 59 paper folios. Parchment rubbed and worn; outer edge of folio trimmed, obliterating some decoration and music. Former folio number(?) "22" crossed out. Black mensural notation on red staves, with black void coloration. Copied by a single scribe. Staff height 13.5. Inked calligraphic initials.

Ca. 1420-40 (CranM). Presumably copied in France. Presented to Bibliothèque Nationale by Ludwig Rosenthal of Munich in 1907.
