General Description

Composite of many originally separate items bound together in present form in mid 18th century or earlier. Music copied in section comprising ff. 148-164', in various formats (choirbook, quasi-score, organ tablature); see GöllN and CranK for discussion of notation. Polyphony on ff. 148', 148a', 150-150', 154'-155', 158-158', and 162-164', copied by several scribes, one of whom (the writer of f. 148bis) also wrote portions of MunBS Lat. 14274 (WrdCE). Probably of south German or Austrian origin; perhaps copied in Vienna (RumboldC).

RISM Description

RISM B/IV 3: 15. Jh.; 165 Blätter Papier + je 1 Vorsatz- und Nachstoßblatt, ca. 305 x 215 mm (einzelne Blätter kleiner). Jüngere Foliierung von f. 1-164 (+ f. 148bis). - Einband: Mitte 18. Jh. aus Wien; mit weißem Leder überzogene Holzdeckel; Titel auf dem Rücken : Acta Concilii constantiensis.

Der musikalische Teil dieser nach Göllner vermutlich aus dem Augustiner-Kloster München stammenden Sammelhandschrift beginnt mit f. 148. Es handelt sich um eine bunte Folge einzelner, dem Format, der Schrift und der Provenienz nach verschiedener Blätter, die meist der Mitte oder der zweiten Hälfte des 15. Jh. angehören und spätestens um 1750 zusammengebunden worden sind. An Notationen begegnen: schwarze und weiße Mensuralnotation, Tabulatur- und Partiturnotation, bei den im Incipitverzeichnis nicht genannten, einstimmige Stücken zudem deutsche Choralnotation (zum Teil mit böhmischem Einfluß, vergleiche f. 157). Von gleicher Hand geschrieben sind jeweils die im Incipitverzeichnis unter einer Nummer stehenden Stücke, sowie Nr. 6/7, 9/10, vermutlich auch Nr. 11/12 und 13/14. Nr. 6 und 7 sind auf Querformat 210 x 295 mm notiert. Nr. 9, 10 und 12 lassen Beziehungen zu Böhmen erkennen.

Inhalt: f. l-57v Akten zum Konstanzer Konzil; f. 60-147 verschiedene Theologie- und Moraltraktate, Epigramme, Sermones und ähnlich; f. 148v-164 musikalischer Teil, siehe Rosenthal, 10-12. Die im Incipitverzeichnis nicht erwähnten Stücke sind einstimmig: Propriums- und Ordinariumssätze, Hymnen, Sequenzen.
