General Description

Eight booklets (300 leaves), put together by Brian Twyne. F. 76 has music with partial text, ‘O lux beata trinitas ... funde lumen cordibus Bakwardis’. f. 76v has music with partial text, ‘Nowe wyll I un to my lady go and yt wyl be Newell Newell Newell to Mary came sent Gabriell under a tre’. F. 77 has English verses headed ‘Many let be thy carolues and be glad thys tyme of Cristmas’, ‘Almyzty God blessyd mot he be / Hath sent hys son thorow hys gret pytee’, four quatrains followed by a partial line of music. Originally made at and for the abbey of Lesnes (Kent).
