General Description

Consists mainly of sermons and theological treatises; the double parchment flyleaf stuck inside the front cover comes from a 13th century Antiphonary. Apart from a 15th century monophonic song, the only music is a two-part motet Consolare virgo mater dei with T Dignare me laudare te virgo on f. 64v-65. Has concordances in MSs London, British Museum, Additional 27630, f. 62v and Munchen, Staatsbibliothek, germ. 716, f. 145.

RISM Description

RISM B/IV 2: A 14th century parchment manuscript meas. 190 x 143 mm. and comprising 179 folios + 1 double parchment flyleaf stuck inside the front cover. This leaf comes from a 13th century Antiphonary notated in early Gothic (St. Gall type) staffless neumes. Mbs 22305 as a whole consists mainly of sermons and theological treatises. It has a probably original binding of wooden boards covered with parchment, and the foliation at t.r.r. is in black ink dating from the 19th century. Apart from a 15th century monophonic song, the only music is a two-part motet Consolare virgo mater dei with T Dignare me laudare te virgo on f. 64v-65. It is written on 9 brown five-line staves per page (top stave four-line) in Gothic neumes, and has concordances in mss London, British Museum, Additional 27630, f. 62v and Munchen, Staatsbibliothek, germ. 716, f. 145.
