General Description

Two flyleaves, taken from CH-Bu F.III.33 before 1975, containing portions of four Parisian organa tripla, known otherwise only for two voices. They had been discovered by Max Burckhardt (1910–1993) of the CH-Bu Handschriftenabteilung. See Arlt & Haas for a complete black-and-white facsimile (two pages photographed under natural light, two under uv light), a description, an inventory (below), concordances (below), fulsome analysis of the music and transcriptions of the two pieces, Dum complerentur and Alleluya Vox sancti bartholomei, that are most legible.

Physical Description

Glue-sides poor according to Arlt & Haas, p. 224, other sides good. It seems from the facsimiles (Tafel 6 & Tafel 9) that much of the notation may be recoverable with modern techniques. The boards of CH-Bu F.III.33 have been pasted over with new paper, obscuring any possible offsets.
