General Description

Legal report on one side of leaf. On reverse side, a 16th-century hand has added a three-voice English carol, 'Alone I lyve, alone,' Probably copied in London or vicinity. Document was in King's Remembrancer's Department of the Exchequer before transfer to Public Record Office.

1 fragmentary paper folio, ca. 253 x 305, now mounted on modern paper folio. Badly torn; edges severely trimmed. Legal report, dated 1457, on one side of leaf. On reverse side, a 16th-century hand has added a three-voice English carol, "Alone I lyve, alone," in white mensural notation. No initials or decoration . No watermark visible.
